General

Arizona Response Systems is a mail-order company. I do not have a showroom. I am available to local customers for drop-off and pickup by appointment only. There is no secretary, You will be speaking to me. I will be happy to discuss any aspect of your project, but please keep your calls short and to the point. Many times if I am involved in a critical task, I cannot stop to answer the phone. Please leave a message with a clear return phone number. I return most calls within a few hours. The best way to contact me is by e-mail, and has the added benefit of a text record of your requests. You will usually receive a response within 24 hours.

Work Order

These work order forms are for gunsmithing work, not for purchasing parts. For parts, just e-mail me. You are welcome to write out your own work order, but please include all of the information in the examples below. If your order refers to a previous conversation, please restate your desires or include the e-mail. E-mail quotes are good for 90 days.

Print this work order and fill out by hand.

Payment Options

You may pay for your order in advance by cash, personal check, money order, bank check, or credit card. I accept Visa and Mastercard. New security fees instituted by Visa and Mastercard have dramatically increased the cost of accepting credit cards. All listed prices reflect a 4% cash discount. Credit card payments do not qualify for this cash discount. Please add 4% to all credit card orders. Please make funds payable to T. Mark Graham or Arizona Response Systems. I deposit checks and money orders on receipt. There is a $25 charge for returned checks. I will not redeposit a personal check returned for insufficient funds. I will void it, and then accept only credit card or certified funds. Government agencies may pay by purchase order with payment due net 30. Credit cards are billed when your order is ready to ship. If you expect to need additional parts that cannot be quoted accurately in advance, please provide a credit card number to avoid delays in returning your order to you. In these "additional parts" cases, since the credit card saves me time and effort, I will waive the 4%. Arizona residents add 8.1% sales tax on merchandise purchases.

Packing & Shipping

You may ship your long guns to me by UPS Ground and your handguns by UPS Air. As I am a federally licensed manufacturer, you may ship firearms directly to me via UPS and receive them directly back. You do not need to ship from a dealer.

I return long guns by FedEx Ground (commercial addresses) or FedEx Ground Home Delivery (residential addresses). I return handguns by FedEx Express (Air). With your e-mail address, I will send a copy of the shipping label. I can only ship to a street address - no Post Office Boxes. I ship all items with "Adult Signature Required" and "No Driver Release." I do not ship COD.

I can return ship a handgun to an FFL only if it will fit in a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box and the USPS Click and Ship accepts your address. As USPS tracking only shows pickup and delivery, and USPS Click and Ship limits insurance to $500, I do not recommend this option. For Alaska and Hawaii residents, e-mail me to determine the best shipping option.

Please ship assembled guns. Firearms are most robust when fully assembled. There is no point in disassembling your gun and wrapping each piece separately in bubble wrap and duct tape. It is not fun to spend one and a half hours unwrapping and logging 50 individually wrapped parts. If you insist on sending bag-o-parts, please include a detailed inventory sheet. Please do not send rifle cases or large handgun cases as I have limited storage space and it adds to dimensional weight return shipping charges Listed shipping charges are based on a 4 pound handgun package insured up to $700 or 20 pound rifle package insured up to $1000. Heavier orders or oversize boxes will incur additional shipping charges.

Tracking & Receipt Confirmation

I will not involve myself with tracking unless a package has been misdelivered or is past due. Do not call for delivery confirmation. If you do not trust your shipper's delivery confirmation, send me an e-mail and I will confirm receipt as soon as possible. I realize people get anxious when they send their prize firearm off to the great unknown, but the "UPS said that you signed for my package at 10:34 this morning - did you get it?" phone calls must stop. I just can't stop working every 5 minutes to answer a phone call that could easily be resolved with your shipper's on-line tracking or by e-mail.

Turnaround Time

Accurately quoting a turnaround time is extremely difficult. There are many factors outside my control. I cannot control the delivery time of parts suppliers, I cannot control the fluctuation in volume of orders coming in, and I cannot control the "problem gun" that takes longer than it should and causes a delay in subsequent orders. The best I can do is to quote a delivery time based on when the orders currently shipping arrived, with a few weeks added or subtracted based on volume. I have a Status Check page to keep customers informed of their approximate position in line and my "best guess" turnaround time. I will process guns as quickly as possible - without compromising the premium quality you expect from ARS.

Guarantee, Insurance & Liability

I guarantee all labor to the original owner for one year. Manufacturer's warranty applies to parts. I guarantee my finishes to the original owner against chipping, peeling, flaking, or anything that I evaluate as "not right" for one year. I may, at my discretion, extend this guarantee indefinitely. I cannot guarantee against abuse, neglect, or honest wear. If you have a problem with any ARS work, even after the warranty period has expired, please contact me and I will evaluate your complaint. I am not responsible for Loctited parts, however if you know something has been Loctited or glued in place, please let me know so I can take appropriate measures during disassembly.

I pay return insurance for up to $700 on handguns and up to $1000 on rifles. If you wish to purchase additional return insurance, please specify the desired insurance value with your order at $0.75 per $100 additional insurance. I purchase this insurance from the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc) on your behalf. I cannot guarantee the carrier will honor claims.

All firearms are shipped at your own risk. This means that I am not liable for the loss or damage of your firearm in transit or through circumstances outside of my control. Some examples include fires, floods, thefts, tornadoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, riots, and stampedes. This statement is a simple realization that despite my best efforts and long experience in common-sense practices, there is always a small chance of something happening to your property. I do not assume liability or guarantee compensation. This disclaimer does not apply to negligent circumstances such as "I dropped your gun and ran it over with my tractor," or "my dog ate your rifle stock " for which I will repair or replace as appropriate. Sometimes I discover a part during disassembly that is already broken, or a screw simply breaks on removal despite due diligence. I will deal with these occasional issues fairly.

I remove night sights, if possible, before processing. Late model factory Glock staked front sights cannot be removed without destroying them. PT/Innovative Weaponry/MMC night sights fail frequently and if they cannot be removed, they may be destroyed in processing. Trijicon and Meprolight sights that cannot be removed fail about 2% of the time at the 300 degree curing temperature.

National Firearms Act

BATFE has clarified that there is no requirement for Form 5320.5 (Form 5) on NFA items sent for repair or restoration, as this is not a "transfer" under the NFA. If you wish to process your order on a Form 5 anyway, there will be a $100 charge for the additional paperwork.

Privacy

You must provide certain personal information so that I can process your order. I use this information to log in the firearm as required under Federal Law, and to contact you. I will not use your information for mailing lists, or divulge your information to third parties. I will assist in legitimate law enforcement inquiries.
