China

ARS AK Build, China This is a Chinese NDM-91 post-ban thumbhole RPK converted to a sniper rifle of the Egyptian Tabuk type. Chinese rifles are mostly conversions of exisiting rifle, not complete builds and may not fall under the package price.
ARS AK Build, China This is a Chinese Type 56S that was deliberately beaten-up for use as a movie prop. I refinished the wood and metal.

East Germany

ARS AK Build, East German There are very few true East German parts kits, and those that are available have the markings wiped and US barrels. East Germany has some very interesting AK variants, so I use East German parts to make kits from other countries look like those of the DDR.

This is a Bulgarian 5.45x39mm parts kit with East German furniture and folding stock, made to look like the MPi-AKS-74N

ARS AK Build, East German This is a Romanian 7.62x39 AKM parts kit with East German furniture and folding stock, made to look like the MPi-KMS-72

ARS AK Build, Hungary This is a Hungarian 7.62x39mm underfolder of the AKMMS or AKS-63 patern. Hungarian parts are among the finest.

Poland

ARS AK Build, Egypt This is a Polish underfolder with US made wood furniture of the Chinese pattern.
ARS AK Build, Egypt Polish vz.88 "Tantal", 5.45x39. On a real Tantal, the Right side selector is Safe - Fire. The left side is Semi - Burst - Auto. It is not an "ambidextrous" selector and on semi-auto builds is purely cosmetic.
ARS AK Build, Egypt Polish vz.88 "Tantal", 5.45x39, on an NDS-2 receiver without the left side selector. NoDak suspended the NDS-2T Tantal-specific receiver production when the parts kits dried up, but there is no problem building on a standarad NDS-2 receiver.

Romania

ARS AK Build, Egypt Romanian parts kits have been the most plentiful of the standard 7.62x39 AKM parts and are used not only for replicas of Romanian rifles, but for "fantasy" rifles.

This is a replica of the Afghan "Khyber Pass" rifle - a marriage of the caprtured Russian AK-74 triangle side folding stock to the 7.62x39 rifle.

ARS AK Build, Egypt This is a side-folding Romanian AKM with the front pistol grip removed.
ARS AK Build, Egypt This is a standard stock Romanian AKM with the front pistol grip.

Russia

ARS AK Build, Russia Russian parts used to be very hard to get, but Bulgarian parts were often are Russian made. This is a Bulgarian AK-74 with Russian sling and furniture. I "distressed" the finish to look like a rifle that had been in service for some time and had a lot of honest wear.
ARS AK Build, Russia This is a conversion from a Russian SAIGA sporter. SAIGAs come in a variety of configurations with some much easier to convert to military style than others. This one had the barrel components affixed by swaging them into dimples on the barrel. Price quotes for SAIGA conversions are on an individual basis and do not fall under the basic pricing above. You should also expect to replace several parts, as well as new furniture.

Tacticool

ARS AK Build, Tacticool I am not a fan of some of the "Tacticool" versions of the AK, but I can do them. The suitability of your aftermarket components is not my responsibility. This is an Hungarian AMD with a rail and AR-15 stock. My preference for modernizing the AK is to add an Ultimak rail and a micro red dot. That's all. But if this is the style that appeals to you, I can certainly do the work.
