Smith and Wesson , Colt, and Ruger and Taurus revolver actions come from the factory in various degrees of smoothness. While all quality guns, they can be improved.

ARS has earned a national reputation for fine work on revolvers of all kinds. From refinishing, to the basic and advanced "tactical package" ARS has the degree of customizing to match your need. Technical aspects of refinishing are described in detail on the METACOL Finishes section of this website. Refinishing a revolver in METACOL III Satin Black or Gray is $150. FedEx return Air shipping, handling, and insurance is $35.

Revolver Basic Tactical Package

deburring and polishing of all trigger and action componants
round face of serrated triggers
hone double action sear angles for a smoother double action pull
supply and install reduced power hammer spring
recrown barrel
chamferring cylinders
contour cylinder latch
refinish selected internal componants with METACOL III as needed required
inspect headspace, timing, yoke alignment, ejector rod alignment.

Price is $175 plus $30 FedEx air return shipping with $700 insurance.

Revolver Advanced Tactical Package

deburring and polishing of all trigger and action componants
round face of serrated triggers
hone double action sear angles for a smoother double action pull
supply and install reduced power hammer spring
recrown barrel
chamferring cylinders
contour cylinder latch
refinish selected internal componants with METACOL III as needed required
inspect headspace, timing, yoke alignment, ejector rod alignment.
round all sharp edges on frame and cylinder ( "dehorning" or "carry bevel")
refinish in METACOL III Satin Black.
