A number of barrels have a small irregularity in the chrome (very small, 1/4 of the way down less than the depth of rifling). A “bulge” that is not a bulge, inasmuch as there is no distortion to the exterior of bore. Consistent location across 20 barrels, I think it was from some clamping fixture in the manufacture process. I have sectioned a bore to examine this spot and am unconcerned. I have noted no difference in performance on these barrels, and since they came off issued rifles, it appears IMBEL was unconcerned as well. Detailed photos in the gallery.
