may be black or Parkerized. FAL India are difficult to differentiate from Fazakerley manufactured UK regulators. When India reverse-engineered the part, they also copied the “F” proof mark. As RSAF Fazakerley and SAF Ishapore parts both share rougher machining than other arsenals, I differentiate by test fitting on a gasblock. L1A1 parts will be loose on a 1A1 gas regulator journal, and 1A1 parts will be so tight on an L1A1 journal, as to not fit at all, or fit but not turn.
